Victoria Martinez (Instructor)

Victoria was born and raised in Thornwood, New York. She began dancing at the age of five. She is trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. Victoria has attended many summer intensives such as Complexions, The Joffrey School, American Academy Ballet, Broadway Dance Center and Houston Contemporary Dance.
Growing up Victoria loved performing on stage and wanted to have the chance to continue that. At the age of eleven she joined her dance studio’s competition team where she went all over the tri-state area to compete and won numerous awards. At the age of sixteen, Victoria made it onto Team USA and traveled to Germany to compete with all the other countries around the world. Victoria has performed at the Joyce Theater in NYC and the WNBA halftime show at Madison Square Garden.
At the age of twenty she decided to move to Los Angeles. There she was accepted into the International Dance Academy for their Certificate Program. While she was out there she had performed for the RAW Artists events and joined the LA Unbound Dance Company. Moving back to New York a few years later is where she began finding her passion in teaching and sharing her love for dance to the next generation of dancers. Victoria is so happy to be a part of The Dance Gallery where she can bring her knowledge and love for dance to her students. It doesn’t matter how many times she performs, nothing is more satisfying than teaching kids and watching them grow, learn and most importantly having fun!
