How to Embed a PDF in Announcements

Log into your site using the link below

Go to the Announcements page and double-click the section to open Editor mode.

Click on the gear symbol, then File, upload your PDF, and click on the link so you see a checkmark next to it. Click Close and you should have a linked PDF.

Please let me know if this method works for you. This way you can display the PDF, and have the user click on it to get/download the actual PDF file in a new window.

2. To upload a PDF in Files

Click on File at the bottom of the lightbox Menu. Click on Upload File and upload your files here. When you need to open a PDF in the News section, follow the following syntax for the Source URL

Once uploaded, your PDF link will follow the following structure

/s/nameofyourdocument.pdf

/s/MLK-2020-Broadway-Bound-4.pdf

Please note that blank spaces in the PDF file name will be filled by dashes to render a valid link

2. Create a new post and link the file

Head over to the Announcements Archive blog under Not Linked.

Duplicate the latest post. Once duplicated, edit the text that reads Copy of… to name your new post. Edit all ov the other content, upload your image.

Hit the Options tab and upload the same image you created, remove the copied content and replace it with the content you want to display. This is important because this is what visitors will see on the Announcements page.

3. Optional - If you wanted to link to your PDF and have it open in a new tab once visitors click on the post title, you can always hit the Post title should link to Source URL option

Type in or paste your link /s/MLK-2020-Broadway-Bound-4.pdf and add "target="_blank right after to have it open in a new tab. So the full link would be

/s/MLK-2020-Broadway-Bound-4.pdf"target="_blank
